I received the following from John Hugentober, Carol's son:


Guys,

Mom's kidney function has returned and her health continues to improve.  
She spent the weekend on dialysis and it looks like that was enough to 
encourage the kidneys to work on their own.  She is one tough cookie and 
I think that she wants to stay around with us for awhile longer.  They 
took her off of most of the sedation today and with any luck,  the 
ventilator will come out tomorrow.  Her doctors will not say that she is 
out of the woods,  but she has come a long way in a week.  Please 
continue to keep her in your prayers.
